WE HAVE WRITTEN OUT SOME QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY:
Absolutely! All students who are a part of Make Believe will have the opportunity to perform with their local school.
We’re raring to go and looking forward to seeing you! All rehearsals will take place at your local Make Believe school when we return in the new term.
We cannot wait to welcome you back and we will update you with a new schedule very soon.
We do not want you to worry. We will organise this for you. Over the next few weeks all our systems will be getting updated and we will provide you with a like for like ticket. The venue is slightly different but we will award you with a seat with the same valued ticket that you have already purchased previously.
We would be happy to organise this for you. Once the site has been updated email support@makebelieveworldwide.com and a member of the team will get back to you. Kindly subject the email with the word ‘upgrade’. Please note that due to the current situation, many of our team members are currently furloughed, therefore we may take a little longer than normal to get back to you.
Nearer to the show, we will organise for all tickets to be handed to your Principals and they will be happy to get them to you at the school. Please keep all confirmation emails and do check your junk mail in case it finds its way to travel in there.
Yes – due to the increase of performances at this venue, we have closed off some parts of the auditorium.
We will be announcing these dates at the latest in November 2020. We have been unable to go and visit the venues and have meetings which is why these have been held back at this stage. Our aim is for all these schools to take part and appreciate your patience in this matter.
Your Principal will hand these out four weeks before your child’s performance.
We love to welcome new people to our Resident Team. We will be announcing when these auditions will be in the next term.
Tickets start at £15 and depending on what seats you choose the seat will vary in price. There are more choices at the Hackney Empire on the premise of it being a bigger auditorium.
Hold tight just a little longer as our site is under maintenance! We will be happy for you to book your tickets and order your merchandise. You can do this by visiting www.tickettainment.com very soon.
No. There are no additional costs involved in the production. Fees throughout your entire year will remain the same. You are welcome to purchase tickets for your family, friends, teachers, etc.
Rehearsals will take place at the school on a week-to-week basis. You will only be required to attend one additional rehearsal at the Theatre along with the performance that your child is taking part in. If your child is an infant they will only be expected at the Theatre for their actual show.
There is a very slight possibility that the performance time (not date) could be altered due to technical reasons. Should this be the case, we will inform you approx. 2 months ahead of the show.
No. Students will continue to learn syllabus work and the skills required to become an all-round performer. The material will focus solely on the show that we are working towards.
No. All children are required to make their own way to the venue at their scheduled time.
All of the students will be separated in age groups. They will also be performing in the show with other Make Believe schools. However, they will not be performing at the same time as one another except in the finale number.
Health & Safety and the care of our students is our number one priority. In all of our shows we have DBS checked staff and Licensed Chaperones working backstage with the entire cast. All information regarding this will be provided nearer the time.
Make Believe do not provide costumes for their cast. All school students are required to purchase a show t-shirt for £15. This is all they will need to take part in the show. T-shirts can be purchased via our website. The deadline for this purchase is December 1st 2020. After this date, the T-shirts will increase in price by £5. We do however have accessories and nearer to the performance, your Principals will be in touch with you with what you may need.
This will be made clear in the Technical Schedule at least two months prior to the show.
No. You can buy as many tickets as you wish and the more support the students have the better. Purchasing tickets also supports charities that benefit from the Make Believe Foundation.
We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Please kindly send your query to support@makebelieveworldwide.com and we will respond. Please note that due to the current situation, many of our team members are currently furloughed, therefore depending on the nature of your question, the time scale to get back to you could be the end of October 2020.
The Hackney Empire, 21 Mare Street, London, E8 1EJ.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT DURING THIS TIME!
The love and encouragement throughout this period has been incredible. With over 10,000 students joining our free MB Virtual School and the generosity from all our families helping us raise thousands for Great Ormond Street is something we can all be incredibly proud of.
Thank you for your continued support and on behalf of our entire team, we look forward to welcoming you back where your child will continue making memorable experiences whilst learning skills for life!
